Nicolette Springer is a criminologist, educator, mother of two, and Girl Scout leader. She is running for Orange County Commission in Orlando, Florida. Nicolette believes we need leadership in local government that will stand up for what we love about our neighborhoods and will fight for responsible growth, transportation solutions, and safety for our families. She believes the government should work for you and not the other way around. Her goal is to serve the neighbors throughout her district by bringing much need integrity and accountability to local office.
As a criminologist and a researcher, Nicolette has a unique perspective that equips her will the skill set required to bring accountability to government. Throughout her career, she studied county-level programs including mental health court, drug court, and other diversion programs. She is proficient in advocating for a efficient and responsible use of tax dollars as well as equity in the distribution of county programs and services.
Nicolette grew up in a working-class family who taught her that hard work should be met with a livable wage and equal opportunity for all. She is proud of her progressive democratic ideology and will keep workers’ rights at the forefront because she knows our workforce is the backbone of our community.
