Billie Sutton is running for Governor of South Dakota and believes we can do better than the status quo and politics as usual. The fifth-generation South Dakotan had a successful professional rodeo career, but his life was changed forever after a tragic rodeo accident left him paralyzed. His South Dakota upbringing instilled in him a never-say-quit attitude, and he has since dedicated his life to serving the community that supported him when he needed it most. A rancher and investment executive at an independent community bank, Billie has also served as a South Dakota State Senator since 2010 and is the Senate Minority Leader. Billie is committed to cleaning up state government, growing better jobs with higher wages in all parts of South Dakota, and believes every child should have a good education that prepares them, and South Dakota, for the future.
“I’m running for Governor for all those who believe, as I do, that it’s time to end politics as usual. Together we can rise to the occasion, meet our challenges, and build a stronger South Dakota.”
